SPA GROUP DYNAMICS AND CONFLICT MANAGEMENT
This is a course to support you in team management, tailor-made for spa people and will give you many valuable and hands-on tools that will help you in your day-to-day work with your spa team.
All groups go through development. From the first meeting and getting-to-know to the “we’re a great group”-feeling, to the “I can’t stand that person”-days, to the “We’re different and that’s ok”-stage.
Usually a group goes through 6 stages. Some groups do the journey very rapidly, others during a period of years. As a leader, it’s extremely important to be aware of these phases, to recognize them when they appear, and to understand how to handle them.
Conflict and development walk hand in hand. We need conflicts in order for groups and organizations to develop. Different thoughts and ideas must “meet” and sometimes clash for us to be able to grow. Crisis is often the opportunity to a radical change, a re-evaluation of values and ways of being and acting. If we learn to recognize the early stages of a conflict and if we learn to be open about it, seeing it as a tool for development, it can be a great help in growth and development, both personal and for a whole spa team.
